I have tested your scenario, but I think you might have a misunderstand something..
When create the M.O and confirm it. "Internal move" are created with the waiting state. at that time you can assign the the lots. but Manufacturing Order comes to "Ready to Produce".  then "Internal move" becomes "Done".

Moreover, we have plan to improve the all the picking including incoming
shipment, Internal move and delivery orders. So we can not consider this
Issue.

  Not able to assign production lot in Internal move

Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Hi All,
  I have met a problem that cannot assign the production lot in Internal Move which automatically generated by system.
  Here are the steps:

  1)	Set the traceability of product so that it can assign location automatically
  2)	Create Manufacturing Order to Ready to Produce
  3)	Go to Internal Move and try to assign the production lot in but state =done, we can do nothing
  4)	When go to inventory analysis,  undefined production lot shown while there are lot numbers with enough stock

  So, how can we update the system so that the state of Internal move not in "Done" once confirmed? 
  Or 
  Is it possible that assign the production lot numbers automatically from the Manufacturing Order??
