As per the bug lp:959219 ,  project_long_term plan to remove from trunk.
So It's not more further enhance.

Moreover, you talk about change functionality of project management.
That's why I am set this Issue as Won't Fix.

  Problems on Project Management openerp 6.1

Bug description:
  Hi everyone.

  I try to manage projects on openerp 6.1, lots of problems:

  * tasks & phases dates are not escalating automatically : when you
  change a parent task, children start & end dates should be updated.

  * resources allocation has been removed!!!!

  I'm looking to the code to implement, suggestions are welcomed
