[Bug 1065307] [NEW] Subsequent attempts to connect to Windows share fails if first attempt fails

Public bug reported:

This bug is repeatable on 12.04 workstation 64-bit, using the gnome-
session-fallback environment.

On the top panel, click "Places", then "Connect to Server", select the
type "Windows Share", and fill out the essential fields (Server, Share,
Folder, Domain name, User name, and Password). It's been established
that the domain name field must be typed in upper case*, but if on the
first attempt they are typed in lower case (which fails) and then on
subsequent attempts they are retyped in upper case, authentication will
still fail despite the case change.

If you close the "Connect to Server" window by clicking "Cancel" and
type the domain name in upper case on the first try, it'll work fine.
