Public bug reported:

In v7 there seem to be a problem with product description fields
(product characteristics in product "information" tab, description for
suppliers in "procurements" tab, description for quotations in "sales"
tab.

To reproduce the problem:
1) fill any of these fields with a value, then save the product
2) edit the product, empty any of the description fields filled above, the save the product

What you'll see is that the former description text will be restored and it will be impossible to have an empty description fields.
Note: error has been verified using italian and spanish, so I believe it's probably happening with any language except English.
