[Bug 1255615] Re: E-Mail sending problems are invisible in user interface

Similarly to your other bug 1255611, this is considered a feature rather
than a bug: the emails are internally queued inside OpenERP and in many
cases the delivery is not synchronous (though there are exceptions), so
it is not possible to offer direct user feedback. In order to offer a
consistent experience to the users (and spare them the technical details
of mail config/maintenance), the internal details of the mail delivery
is completely hidden from them.

It is the responsibility of the system administrator to properly
configure the outgoing SMTP details and watch the state of the queue for
any failed deliveries (/Settings/Technical/Emails/Emails)

Hope this helps,

Title:
E-Mail sending problems are invisible in user interface

Status in OpenERP Addons (modules):
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
   1) Steps to reproduce the issue you have observed

A project issue with multiple followers exist. Add a message
("send message") to the project issue. The SMTP server does, however,
not accept more than five emails in a row.

   2) The result you observed

Because my email server throttles the incoming emails, only half
of the recipients actually got the message. There was no error message
in the web user interface, and the message is shown as if it were sent
to all followers. One of the persons who did not get an important
information got angry, another one very sad.

   3) The result you expected

If there are problems sending out emails, I need to be informed as
a user. If I know, that another person could not be informed by email,
I can still try to phone them etc.

   4) The platform you are using (and browser version, if relevant)

Debian, MTA is a Microsoft product, AFAIK.

   5) The OpenERP version you are using

      7.0-20131126-0026
