[Bug 296959] [NEW] strange URLs generated when using icedtea6-plugin with Firefox 3

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: icedtea6-plugin

Ubuntu 8.10

If you have installed the icedtea6-plugin and go to
http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp?detect=jre&try=1 with a
64bit Firefox 3 you get an error message about a wrong URL provided. The
URL in the address bar looks strange and different every time you do
this.

Also affected are other sites who use JAVA. Same strange URLs generated.

** Affects: openjdk-6 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
