Last working java version: 6b12-0-ubuntu6.4

After an update to 6b14-1.4.1-0ubuntu6, my math assignments (private university site) don't works.
Firefox ether hangs, or math applet shows 'loading..." and never continues, I now downgraded to 6b12-0-ubuntu6.4
 and everything works fine
