You might be right, perhaps you should use 9.04 until the bug is fixed or until we have found a better workaround that does not need assistive technologies to be switched off.
Please note that it is better to post in Bug 445009 instead of this one since it is a duplicate and less people will read it here than in Bug 445009.

1) i'm running Ubuntu 9.10 (2.6.31-14-generic #48-Ubuntu i686 GNU/Linux)
2) This happen runnin any eclips. Package from official repository or downloaded one.
3) I expected to be able to click also "cancel" buttons from gui
