thanks for the offer. There surely are things where help is needed/wanted.

 - analyse the reported issues, both in
   http://bugs.debian.org/src:openjdk-6 and
   https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openjdk-6
   forward these to either IcedTea or OpenJDK

 - most things are not related to the packaging, but
   to upstream issues.  Consider joining the IcedTea
   project.
