[Bug 728013] [NEW] LibreOffice crashes possibly caused by openjdk-6

Public bug reported:

Using Base in LibreOffice - changing date value in a Table caused following error message:
# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
# SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x03b329d6, pid=2745, tid=3063605856
# JRE version: 6.0_20-b20
# Java VM: OpenJDK Client VM (19.0-b09 mixed mode, sharing linux-x86 )
# Derivative: IcedTea6 1.9.7
# Distribution: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS, package 6b20-1.9.7-0ubuntu1~10.04.1
# Problematic frame:
# C [libdbtoolsli.so+0x499d6]

Also on same screen:
[error occurred during error reporting , id 0xb]

Base is proving troublesome with several other faults to the extent that it is not working.
These faults are also apparent in OpenOffice version as well.
When program is reopened the database is recovered but shows a number of my forms on the screen - these are then difficult to close. In addition during recovery process an attempt is made to open the Error reporting tool but that appears to fail with no further information.

Hope that this is of some use to somebody as I am hacked off and will probably go back to MS Access for a program that is more stable in this instance.
Many thanks,
Gordon.

Possible that this bug may be related to the use of a
registered/embedded database - I lack the knowledge to use the system
with a Multi-mode database

** Affects: openjdk-6 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
