[Bug 994959] [NEW] A fatal error SIGSEGV (0xb) occurred when abandoning soffice --base

Public bug reported:

In a GNOME terminal I had issued the command '~$ soffice --base' and used Base for at least an hour. During this time I updated my Ubuntu 12.04 using the UpdateManager. To leave Base I typed Ctrl+C.
I noticed the short appearance of Apport icon and other heavy disturbances on the screen image. GNOME terminal survived and I was left with these messages:
detlef@T61:~$ soffice --base
^C
detlef@T61:~$ #
