[Bug 1094343] [NEW] Java crash when entering nether in minecraft

Public bug reported:

When entering the nether in minecraft Java crashes. It crashes again when I try to log back in. If my dimension is changed in the .dat file to the overworld everything is fine.
It sometimes helps to allocate more ram, even though it only uses around 300 mb.

Crash repport is attached.

** Affects: openjdk-7 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Attachment added: "hs_err_pid24890.log"
