[Bug 1174280] Re: I can't run shell script apps like celtx and alchemy in 13.04. I downloaded Java but the apps still don't run.

I have Java SE Runtime Environment- Build 1.7.0_25-b15 With Java HotSpot
64-Bit Server VM- build 23.25-b01, mixed mode running. We are seeing
more complaints about "Second Life" viewers not running on the full
array of Ubuntu 13.04 distros. At this point he only solution might be
to consider going back to 12.04/12.10 until some solution is provided.

Title:
I can't run shell script apps like celtx and alchemy in 13.04. I
downloaded Java but the apps still don't run.

Status in “openjdk-6” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
When I downloaded the script writing software, celtx, and extracted
it, it wouldn't run. Celtx is a shell script app. I uploaded the
free java runtime software but it still doesn't run. I also tried to
run the image generating software, alchemy, and it also doesn't run.
Alchemy is a java software. If you go to celtx.com and al.chemy.org,
you'll see the software I'm talking about.
