[Bug 1272189] [NEW] Problem with switching monitors on notebook
Public bug reported:
I have a notebook and at home and work I usually attach 2x 24"
screens... one by vga and one by hdmi.
However, if I start the notebook without external screens attached, the
screen just stays dark. I set it so that the notebook screen turns off
and only shows external screens.
When I then attach then the vga screen, nothing happens - it's not being
recognized at all. And when I attach the hdmi screen, I end up at
lightdm user login - despite having autologin enabled.
Kubuntu used to behave to auto-enable the notebook screen when there's
no external monitors attached. So when you're not at home or work the
notebook screen should work.
Using Kubuntu Tahry.
** Affects: kscreen (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
