Following discussions on IRC I decided to test my branch.
I have 

Updated from trunk
Run the translation script  -dpu
no change to en.ts
Updated from trunk
Run the translation script  -dpu
still no change to en.ts

pushed my branch and then requested a merge.
still no change to en.ts

Hum ideas why I am seeing different things to the rest?
