Sorry but I do not understand the problem.
Can you explain a bit more clearly.  You do have to remember that Bibles are used in Sermons so there may be good reasons to do odd things.

Bug description:
  When using the "Advanced" Tab in the Bible module it is possible to
  select the same translation for first and second version. This is
  confuses me and I don't see what this could be useful for.
