[Bug 1201691] Re: Cannot create new formatting tag if one an existing tag uses "n" as a tag
Have you tried my steps to repeat it?
I'm not talking about having identical tags, but if you have an existing tag with the tag set to 'n' you cannot create a new tag, not even one that is unused. This is because when you create a new tag, it does not give you an option to change the tag until after it has been created. It creates it with the tag value 'n' and then you can edit it!

Bug description:
In 2.0.1 open the "Configure Formatting Tags" dialogue
Add or edit a new tag and set the tag field as "n"
Save it
Now click new tag and a dialogue pops up stating that "Tag 'n' is already defined"
The user should be able to create an "n" tag and still be able to
create new tags
