I'm sorry once again. My fault. I should check what I've write more

I'm using trunk all the time.

I did that but all I can get from Ubuntu 12.04 server installation disk was
an option to check if disk works ok or recover the system throug a panel
which seems to me like "system reinitialisation".
I decide to proceed according to following tutorial:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair
It looks like Ubuntu LiveCD which I expect to have with that server
installation disk.
Do you have any suggestions which steps I should avoid in order to not
crash other linux distributions then ubuntu 10.04 LTS ??
In my opinion I should skip installation of additional dependencies but I
had impression that at least "python-prtcl" package was nor present in
ubuntu 12.04.
I'll check it when I recover my system or I'll reinstall it once again.
Regards,
Andy
