[Bug 931631] Re: trim the sequence without resizing it

Title:
  trim the sequence without resizing it

Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
  New

Bug description:
  1. OS = linux ubuntu 11.11
  2. PPA openshot v1.4.2
  i don't know wether this is a bug report or a question.
  i'm using the french version of the program, maybe i don't properly translate the words

  my input is a GoPro 960p 1280x960 file
  what i want to do is cut the top and the bottom of the file to get a 720p 1280x768 output
  what i do is :
  * select a 720p profile project
  * right click on the sequence to get the properties
  * go to the 4th sheet "agencement"
  * y => -10% to trim up my sequence of 96dots (twice : once at the beginning and once at the end of the sequence)
  * let the other values unchanged (100%, 100%, 0%)
  * go to the 6th sheet "video"
  * untick the option "etirer en plein ecran" (stretch to fullscreen)
  * let the other values unchanged(lenght/width unchanged etc...)

  => in my opinion i should then have my input 960p file centered on the
  preview window, with both the top and the bottom cut (trimmed)

  BUT what i have is a black line at the left, right and bottom, as if
  the stretch to fullscrren option was still ticked

  Have i done someting wrong ?

  My opinion : as far as i have analyzed my problem, when the input file
  has a bigger size than the output format, the video is always resized.

  How could i do what i want ?
  if you are interested, i can give you 960p files so that you can test and suggest me a solution.

  Please tell me if my explanation is not clear enough.
