That is a very old version. Please update to the latest version of MLT.

Title:
  When working with image sequences, file handles not cleaned up,
  causing errors

Status in OpenShot Video Editor:
  New

Bug description:
  I've imported a few image sequences, 
  and inserted them as a video.
  In playing them, and then working with them (i.e., export to video, play sequence, etc)
  eventually (after 5 minutes) software complains about "too many files open", 
  for example, if I then go to save the project.

  At this point, software is then completely unusable, 
  video viewer shows only blank white, 
  and sometimes,  menu items no longer respond.
