EDL would be best for lossless workflow in professional world. Every
project won't be always rendering out Sequences or Uncompressed
AVI/MOVs. EDL/AAF is old form of transferring from one workstation to
others. I don't know how it isn't in Top priority list. Even Cinelerra
has EDL output. If it is amature audience the openshot is targetting
then its enough, but from professional point of this is a major feature.

  An Decision List contains an ordered list of all of the edits made in
  a video. More info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edit_decision_list

  Adding support for this would hopefully mean going from one program to
  another would be much easier
