My mistake. I have just learned about key frame 'start of clip' and 'end
of clip' and the effect of not having the same layout values for these 2
frames.

  overlay video box keeps growing as the playback advance

Bug description:
  With openshot v.1.4.3

  Went to Layout tab of the clip properties and set the following values

  Key frame: Start of the Clip
  Height: 35%
  Width: 35%
  X: 60%
  Y: 10%
  Alpha: 100%

  Both in the video preview and in the resulted exported video, the
  overlayed video grows with time.
