These kinds of issues are always related to MLT or FFmpeg not being
installed correctly, corrupted, multiple versions installed, or some
combination.  I would recommend:

1) Un-installing any .DEBs you installed with OpenShot, MLT, or FFmpeg (if any)
2) Install OpenShot from the PPA
3) Be sure that you install not just OpenShot, but MLT, FFmpeg, x264, and Frei0r from the PPA.

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New

Bug description:
Using todays OpenShot 0.9.42, I cannot render a video - openshot crashes after I ask it to.

There's nothing interesting in the terminal as it just says segmentation fault. This problem was present before todays update too.
