[Bug 442568] Re: not working with pulse audio

Works perefectly, thanks a lot.

I suggest that you add libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio to the dependancies of
openshot in the ubuntu packages, as Ubuntu uses pulse audio by default
(or at least as 'recommends')... This would provide a smoother user
experience for those not used to struggle with various competing sound
systems :)

Keep on the great work, OpenShot looks great.

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New

Bug description:
1) OS : ubuntu jaunty (9.04)
2) openshot: v0.9.43

the default alsa device in Jaunty is of type "pulse", and it does not seem to work with openshot : the sound is choppy then finally stops, freezing openshot.

To work around that bug, I have to edit ~/.asoundrc to set another device as default.

It is a shame that openshot does not work with pulse audio, which is the default for jaunty.
