The problem seems to involve the player.  I have made 2 dvd videos
involving multiple avchd files from a recent trip.  As long as i do not
play, i can add files and export to either dvd or flicker.  But shortly
after I use the player, the program gray's out and locks up.

An additional problem cropped up after i had exported the project to
dvd. I tried to export it to another format, and it immediately locked
up. I did a force close and reopened the program and the project.  When
i tried to export to another format it even locked up ubuntu.

I will try the play situation with some other video formats and let you
know.

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: Incomplete

Bug description:
Ubuntu 9.04, intel quad 64, 32 bit dependencies,  Manually loaded the program after first doing the dependencies.

Imported 3 AVCHD files (1440x1080) each under 1 min.; play set to 200 sec.

i saved the project so i can recall it.  Each time i play it, it gets part way through and hangs up, the OpenShot screen turns gray and the program quits responding.

It does the same thing each time i restart and reload the project.

I tried reloading the OpenSpot deb with no change in the results.

Requested additional feature: Having the add icon stay at the directory the previous file was loaded from
