[Bug 448815] Re: "Floating point exception" with advanced export settings

Hello Jimmy,

AFAIK there needs to be a minimum of 2 channels for stereo sound on
video. So set the audio channels to 2

Multi channel audio (eg; Dolby Surround 5+1) is not yet supported in
OpenShot, but the option for specifying the number of channels is
included ready for this, and of course for the multi-channel wave
formats which are bieng developed.

The bug you are actually reorting is the crashing of OpenShot when an
exception occurs. Therefore the answer to this will be development of
better exception handling.

I am changing the title of the bug to "Exception handling needs defaults
other than just crashing"

Many thanks for your comments,

Helen McCall

Bug description:
The terminal output gave me a "floating point exception" when trying to export with the settings shown in the attachment.

Similar to bug 395703. I suppose because these are "advanced" settings, it's up to the user not to attempt invalid combinations, but at the very least it would be nice if OpenShot failed gracefully, with a pop-up alert rather than crashing entirely.
