Hello Alex,

The AVC/H.264 codec is the video codec.

Do you know what the audio codec is? (eg; aac or ac3 etc)

Do you know the video format used?

Video format can be something like Quicktime (.mov) or AVCHD (.MTS or
other file extensions) or mp4 etc.

Is the sound Dolby 5+1 or stereo or other channel grouping?

Can you also give us the same information regarding sound on your avi
videos, and where the avi videos came from?

Openshot version: 0.9.47

Video taken with my Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD800 has no sound. This camera uses AVC/H.264 codec. Sound on avi video is fine.
