Re: [Bug 453162] [NEW] incorrectly detected length of HDV clips

Hmmm, very interesting. Do you have a 'small' sample clip that you could
attach to this bug report? If it works correctly in Kdenlive, maybe I'm
mis-using the length property... or something similar to that.

Thanks,

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New

Bug description:
Openshot 0.9.43 from .deb files on ubuntu 9.04:

I downloaded HDV footage from sony HDR-HC9 tape
using dvgrab with autosplit option. After importing
these clip into openshot, the reported length of
clips is much longer than their actual length. Because
of this, they cannot be edited in openshot.
Other software such as kdenlive (0.7.5) or totem detect
the length correctly.

I found out that the reported length is actually the
position of the clip on the tape. Speculation:
is it possible, that the timestamp of the clip
does not start at 00:00:00, but shows the time
from tape beginning which should be then substacted
from the timestamp of last frame???

I can upload sample files if needed.
