Won't open here either. I tried reinstalling all the files to no effect.
It still won't open.

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New

Bug description:
I had been using OpenShot 0.9.52 in Ubuntu 9.04 32 bit with gradually decreasing success. I just upgraded to Ubuntu 9.10 3 bit and OpenShot will start, but nothing in the interface is clickable. After a few seconds, the entire window turns gray and I have to force quit.

I tried uninstalling all the dependencies and the application and then reinstalling all the dependencies and the application, but the problem remains.

All installations are done from the .deb's.

This is the output from terminal:
marty@tux:~$ openshot
Added /usr/share/openshot to system path
--------------------------------
   OpenShot (version 0.9.52)
--------------------------------
/usr/share/openshot/windows/SimpleGladeApp.py:340: GtkWarning: gtk_toolbar_set_icon_size: assertion `icon_size != GTK_ICON_SIZE_INVALID' failed
  return gtk.glade.XML(self.glade_path, root, domain)
A new frmMain has been created
Killed
marty@tux:~$

At this point OpenShot is no longer usable.
