[Bug 486856] Re: echo effect crash (segmentation fault)

 

Are you able to run a sox command in the terminal? E.g.

$ play foo.wav echo 0.7 0.6 50 0.2

I don't think it's a common problem with the latest version. I had this
problem myself a while ago, due to messed up packages - I had installed
Openshot on my development machine using .debs, the PPA & the build
wizard, and had ended up with a conflict somewhere.

You can read what I did to solve it in bug 442589 - I'm not sure if it
will help you as I was using the PPA, and the solution was to completely
purge what the .deb had installed.

But the first thing to see is if you can use SOX by itself...

Bug description:
Hi,
while trying to add to a clip or a music the echo effect the program crash.
The crash arrive calling the preview or committing the effect.
Reported in the released version and in the bzr version (version 0.9.53).

It runs on a debian lenny and the dependecies are taken in block with the deb package.
