Thanks for the screenshot.  We'll leave this on the wishlist for now
until we find time to discuss this feature in more detail.  I agree that
there should be an easier way to edit clip properties.  My only concern
is for the UI.  In the spirit of keeping it simple, and overwhelming the
less experienced users.  I'm sure we can think of something creative. =)

Bug description:
Meanwhile improved layout and functionality are implemented in future releases of Openshot (e.g. https://bugs.launchpad.net/openshot/+bug/455791), a simple solution that would greatly improve usability is making a new tab for clip properties. This makes visible most of the clip modifications options and makes easier and faster to edit.

Also, a slight change of the clip color that indicates which clip is selected (and its properties shown in the tab) could be added.

It could look more or less like the screenshot below.
