[Bug 497004] Re: The program doesn't start on a non Debian-based distro

Hum really i don't know exactly and. I don't know absolutly Slackware. You have this file created by Qtcreator which have none rapport with Openshot and at the end of the command line, we can see that Openshot is installed but the link with python and the folder don't existed . Perhaps a symboliq link between them but i' m not sure.
Look your python path and good luck, i have none solutions for the moment.

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New

Bug description:
I installed this software with the wizard (version 0.9.54) on my Slackware 13 . The installation process doesn't give errors , but when I try to launch openshot , the program doesn't start .... launching it from a terminal gives me these message :

--------------------------------
   OpenShot (version 0.9.54)
--------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------
Error: OpenShot has not been installed in the Python path.
(Both the site-packages and /usr/share/openshot folders were checked)

Use the following command to install OpenShot:
  $ sudo python setup.py install

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I understood the message , but I didn't find a solution yet . Reading some forums I noticed that this problem is common in non Debian-based systems .
