9.04 64 bit. clean install of version 1.0 from deb (App and depends)

Note I removed all traces of prevcsious verison (app and depnds) proir
to the install of version 1.

Bug description:
Just a simple test :

import a jpeg picture and place it on a track
add a water effect and play.

the result is a segfault
