Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New

Bug description:
Program freezes after importing an image sequence or after placing a video file on timeline. When I try to play the image sequence or the video file it plays a little then the whole Ubuntu interface freezes and all I am left with is a little black hand. I can only press Ctrl Alt Del and choose "Restart" by repeatedly pressing Tab key.
