Hello,

I just figured out that it was my mistake... :-(  I just thought it
doesn't work because you can't see any fade effect (e.g. to black -
that's what I expected... :-/  ) when there is no other layer under
it...

Bug description:
When I go to the file poperties and then select "Fade in" and / or "Fade out" it does show no effect. However, it does not work with svg-files while it works properly with normal videos and photos.
