[Bug 509851] Re: timeline playback audio out of sync on high definition mp4 file
Additional info.
I loaded this video file into Kdenlive timeline running on an AMD X4
processor using Kubuntu 9.04 and playback from the Kdenlive timeline
maintained A/V sync even after scrubbing back and forth.
I plan to put 9.10 on this Quad Core system when I get a chance and will
try OpenShot on this more powerful system, but since ffplay worked, I
suspect its an OpenShot issue.
Kdenlive on Kubuntu 9.04 is the first time I've been able to get
Kdenlive to do anything but crash (tried Ubuntu 6.06, 7.10, 8.04, 9.04
in the past). But I hate KDE desktop :(
I'll followup in a few days after I've got Ubuntu 9.10 on the Quad Core
and tried OpenShot on it.
Would it help to try OpenShot on my Kubuntu 9.04?
Installation is not so easy as PPA, so I won't do it unless you think it might provide useful info.

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New
Bug description:
Similar to #509466, but have only a single high definition mp4 file on the time line and the audio gets progressively more out of sync as it plays. Playback of the video in Totum has good a/v sync even after seeking during playback.
You can download the video here:

I thought cutting the clips of our lab from the show would be a good test for the kind of things I usually do with a Video editor for work -- produce short clips from larger sources to use in presentations. Currently I usually use Sony Vegas Movie Studio 7 or Premier Elements 2 depending on the original formats on my XP notebook to do this
I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 with all updates current as of 3PM CST 19Jan2010
OpenShot version 1.0.0 installed via the PPA.
