one more thing, thanks for that build/install script. i use 8.04 and it
saved me a world of dependencies headaches. forget the PPA, no need with
a script like that!!! :P

Bug description:
It would be great to be able to separate audio from video.
It be also be useful to see a visual representation of the material within the clip ie: a filmstrip for video and a waveform for audio.
I find this feature very useful when using Final Cut but forget buying a mac I'd rather be using THIS on linux.

2) haven't installed this since I upgraded from jaunty, yesterday, and won't until my VLC is safe.  I'm looking at you PPA
