[Bug 499250] Re: crashes to login splash if used with gtk-recordmydesktop
I have now tested using recordmydesktop directly as follows:-
recordmydesktop -o /home/dan/out.ogv --fps 15 --channels 1 --freq 22050
--device pulse --v_quality 63 --s_quality 10 --workdir /tmp --no-frame
This also experiences the crashing.

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: Confirmed
Bug description:
Ubuntu 9.04
OpenShot 0.9.54
I do screen captures at 1680x1050. Anyhow, after I've turned on my recording.. when I start up openshot, it will either immediately, or some time after, crash everything and send me directly to the splash login screen. It's done this to me twice,
I'm still going to talk about openshot to others because it is a good alternative, but I can't demo it because of this bug. You can see where I put my videos here

I'm on video 441, this would be 442. I have no ten minute limit on my videos, so when I demo a program I don't actually waste time editing the video, but this program would make editing easier. When I edit video I tend to use blender's video sequence editor.
