The explanaitons of ptf are very good and better than i can provide. 
Another thing with gdb
(gdb) run openshot.py
And what give you too this command :
echo $PYTHONPATH

When i try to open openshot i have this problem :

Added /usr/share/openshot to system path
/usr/share/themes/Human/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:85: Murrine configuration option "gradients" is no longer supported and will be ignored.
