[Bug 538403] Re: Install problem not real bug
In fact, it must be possible to have
melt
python-mlt2
python-pygoocanvas
in the dependency list so they are fectched automagically by aptitude (apt-get) but I think what you want to fetch needs to be in the official repository, and as said I could see my apt-get command fetching from debian-multimedia. If you can specify the source ?
Never built a deb with external dependencies, so dunno.
Just my $0.02 :-)
Cheers

Bug description:
Debian Squeeze, installing deb package found on the website.
I managed to install openshot, but I needed to go thru a couple of hoops.
It might be a good idea to give that info to others.
In order to have the openshot_1.1.0-1_all.deb accepted and installed by my system, I had to install first:
melt
python-mlt2
python-pygoocanvas
and i'm lucky to have squeeze and http://www.debian-multimedia.org testing/main in my deb repositories.
So maybe this info is somewhere already, but I obviously missed it.
Might be useful either to give it at all or give it a more prominent place.
Cheers
