There must be something wrong rather in my system, I think. Every
version I downloaded has this behavior, with every media types. I even
tried newest version 1.1.1 from bzr branch. But what component could
affect the slider? Funny, the other slider (right under video) works OK.
Anyway, I attached my project files, there are 3 photos from the camera
and .osp file in ascii format. But I doubt it will behave the same way
at your system.

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New

Bug description:
I created a project about 30 min long, then saved it. After I loaded later the saved project, everything was OK, except for the slider on the timeline, which does not move forwards during previewing the video. If I click on the timeline, the slider also doesn't show there, as it did before (or in a new project). It moves only if I drag it with mouse.
