[Bug 482985] Re: openshot won't open in Ubuntu 9.10

 

I see what happened now. I didn't have libmlt++.so.2 so linked it to
libmlt++.so.0.5.0 instead using:

ln -s /usr/lib/libmlt++.so.0.5.0 /usr/lib/libmlt++.so.2

Now it works!

Bug description:
Every time I try and open openshot it comes up with this error
OpenShot (version 0.9.53)

    mlt.Factory().init()
NameError: global name 'mlt' is not defined

Error:  OpenShot has not been installed in the Python path.
(Both the site-packages and /usr/share/openshot folders were checked)

Use the following command to install OpenShot:
  $ sudo python setup.py install

user@user-desktop:~$ sudo python setup.py install
[sudo] password for user: 
python: can't open file 'setup.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory
