You could try running openshot from the terminal & see if there are any
error messages. You might also want to check you have sox/freior
installed.

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New

Bug description:
OpenShot crashes with no message.  It simply disappears.  I notice that this normally happens when I am using the special effects.  The video formats I have edited when the system crashed are *.wmv and *.flv.  

I am using OpenSuse 11.2, rpm, OpenShot 1.1.0
