Re: [Bug 534726] Re: glade error on ubuntu 9.10

Andy,

Thanks for your quick response. However, I am an Ubuntu noob and I have no
idea how to do as you suggest.

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: Invalid

Bug description:
I have been using openshot since version 0.9.*, but the PPA broke video support in ubuntu 9.10, so the last couple of versions I have downloaded the deb's from the web site. With the release of 1.1 I decided to give the PPA another shot since the video error was reported to be fixed. I uninstalled version 1.0 and installed from Synaptic. No errors during install. But when I run Openshot nothing happens. This is the output from terminal (it reports to be 1.0, but Synaptic says it is 1.1):

Added /usr/share/openshot to system path
--------------------------------
   OpenShot (version 1.0.0)
--------------------------------

(openshot:10546): libglade-WARNING **: could not find glade file '/usr/share/openshot/windows/glade/Main.glade'
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/openshot", line 50, in <module>
    main()
  File "/usr/share/openshot/openshot.py", line 57, in main
  File "/usr/share/openshot/windows/MainGTK.py", line 47, in __init__
  File "/usr/share/openshot/windows/SimpleGladeApp.py", line 102, in __init__
  File "/usr/share/openshot/windows/SimpleGladeApp.py", line 340, in create_glade
RuntimeError: could not create GladeXML object
