I have the same problem. When i import a mp3-file it almost always
reports the track as shorter than the actual file. If i try to reimport
the file it always gets the same length. On occasion i get a reported
length that is longer than the actual audio-file. If the file is
reported as longer it is correctable in the program but if it's reported
as shorter you can't correct it.

Now i use ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx but i had the same problem on 9.10.
Though on 9.10 it was more often too long audio length while now it's almost always reported as too short.

Bug description:
When I import an audio file and add it to time line the end of the sound is cut off. The same also happens when i preview the recording. This happened with both the M4A and MP3 formats.
