Hi,
i prefer the output of Nulf because i have more informations who give me a track. 
You should look on the hand of the dependencies (see here : http://openshotusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=372)
Another track (also for tutor free) Have you install the FFmpeg version of the Medibuntu repositorie ? If no, do it.

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: New

Bug description:
Suddenly disappears openshot ending the session on Linux in an attempt to add the video soon. Using two tracks, and video.avi logo.png. When resizing the logo of the time, the program, in addition to closing, closed my user session.
