I think the status could be changed to "Fixed" thanks to cenwen. The
problem was on libcairo2 version 1.9.6-6, which was downloaded because
of the repository for gimp 2.7. When I forced the installation of
version 1.8.10 on synaptic, openshot worked again.

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: Won't Fix

Bug description:
First, Openshot worked very well, but after installing some packages, it just doesn't work anymore. I click on the access icon, but the program doesn't start. I can see some activity on CPU and hard disk, but I can never see the program window.

I guess if Openshot is not compatible with any Ubuntu package. I've installed: virtualbox, gimp 2.7, k3b, win32codecs, among others.

I use Ubuntu 10.04 and Openshot from default repositories.
