Message #03895
[Bug 591890] Re: Put clips back to Project Files
This wouldn't be as easy as it sounds. Openshot is a non-destructive
editor, which means when you split a clip on the timeline, you are not
actually splitting the clip, markers are recorded which tell Openshot
where in the clip to start playing, and for how long. To add it to the
project as a new clip in it's own right would require rendering the
output of the clip in the required positions - time/cpu processor
intensive, most likely.

Bug description:
Hi folks,
When I import a large File from a camcorder or so, I normaly cut it with the razor and rearrange the whole thing.
Now it would be pretty handy to have the ability to move a cutted clip back to the project files, rename it and
put it back into my timeline later.
regards
Jannis
