Perhaps it depends of the sort of files that you use (ex : aVCHD format
needs sometimes a conversion before to use but it is not only for
Openshot.) Check if you have the freiOr-plugins installed and all the
others dependencies installed. For more details, See here :

Bug description:
Hi,

when I want to pull an effect in my videos timeline, nothing happens. The faders/crossings are working, but the effects unfortunately not. OpenShot looks quite nice. Hope the effects will be usable. I have Ubuntu 10.04 with 64 Bit.
