Same issue here with Ubuntu 10.4, the corresponding video and audio is
way off in editing mode. It's impossible to put anything together.

Status in OpenShot Video Editor: Fix Released

Bug description:
When I just export an entire video the A/V sync seems fine. When I actually edit a track by cutting out sections and then putting it all together, and then exporting, the audio and video are out of sync.
